Mineral Monday Series: Part 6 – Calcium

    By kloup | Uncategorized | Comments are Closed | 16 July, 2018 | 0

Got milk? One of the most recognized marketing campaigns of the 90’s not only pushed people to drink more milk but also hinted to the importance of calcium in the diet. Calcium’s most common benefit of strong and healthy bones is only one of the important roles it plays in your pet’s body. Providing essential nutrients, vitamins, and MINERALS is vital to a healthy and developed puppy.

    #MineralMonday Series: Part 6 – Calcium

Having strong bones, to most, is a symbol of being healthy. Helping the body to create and maintain healthy bones starts from conception. Providing mom with the proper nutrition during pregnancy plays just as big of a role as the nutrition the puppy receives after he/she is born. Calcium is a key component to bone growth and retention, especially from puppyhood to adulthood.

Aside from important bone growth, calcium also provides the necessary component of healthy teeth. As we have learned and are still learning, having unhealthy teeth and gums, can hinder your pet’s health greatly.

As our pets age, their bones begin to become porous and weaken as a sign of normal aging. By providing a calcium rich diet, your pet can be protected from this sign of aging and help reduce the weakening of the bones.

Below you can find the full benefits of Calcium for your pet:

    –          Strengthens Bones

    –          Prevents Obesity
